When an artist and her financier husband decide to create an apartment building dedicated to art and music in a charming Virginia college town, you sometimes have to pull out all the stops on the marketing side of things.
This apartment building is a luxury situation — like something you’d find in NYC, but in a quaint small town instead. Standard apartment photography just wouldn’t do. We needed to level up a bit, so we collaborated with the artist-owner and staged a photoshoot the likes of which our property management company had never seen.
It was a blast to art direct the shoot, plan shots, work with the models, and get a set of images that would property tell the story of the building and not just show how furniture can fit in a room.
Was it a bit over the top for an apartment building? Yep. Was it more fun than standing in the corner of a living room with a fisheye lens? You betcha.
